This is different from the Adsense for mobile phones that launched in 2007. In that program ads appeared next to publishers own content. The new hybrid will allow mobile phone makers or mobile network operators to to embed a Google search box on their mobile portals and Web sites and share in revenue that comes search ads on a co-branded results page.
AdSense for mobile search is a Google-hosted solution, but even though the results pages are served by Google, the pages can be cobranded with publishers' logos and linked back to their sites. See the mock-up on the left.
